Hey everyone!!!!!!!
These past couple of weeks have been crazy and busy and just full of stuff and the Spirit. I got set apart as a missionary on the 19th. I did Home MTC the 20th-27th. Throughout Home MTC I had a good amount of ups and downs, I got to go to my Cousin Britton's Baptism!!!! That was so cool because earlier that week we had like 6 hours of lessons on Baptism and how its important!!! I'm super proud of him and his choice to start on the Covenant Path!!! The Lessons we went over that week were awesome and I learned a lot!! Some nights I started to overthink some small aspects of a mission and stress over them but through prayer and talking with my Dad (Who served a mission in the California, Carlsbad Mission like 78 years ago) about his mission and how he felt throughout it.
Then the day which I had been dreading had come, I had to say goodbye to my family at the airport at 5:20AM on the 29th. We had a teary goodbye and I started my 2 year adventure!!! The plane ride wasn't bad, I was just trying to sleep the whole time. When I got to the airport I found 2 other missionaries on my plane!! We navigated the SLC airport together and found the desk that our shuttle reservation said to. The paper on the desk said if there was no one there to call the number on the bottom of the sheet. We didn't have phones because they give them to you at the MTC when you get there. But then a woman walked over and asked if we needed a phone, we were super happy and grateful when she called the shuttle company and got everything sorted out. Then she said that she's sent a couple of missionaries in her own family and she wanted to make sure we got breakfast so she offered like 6 missionaries and I Starbucks Pastries!!! I didn't end up getting anything since I had a BIG cookie from Messengers Pizza in Nampa. We all thanked her and went on our way. I've been at the MTC ever since and I've had a blast of fun and crazy spiritual moments!!!! Aaaaaand My District is AWESOME!!!!!!!!!! I'm so grateful for everyone who has helped me on my path to this point and I can't wait to get to New Hampshire and serve!!!
